Blood Brothers Tour 2024: Casting Announcement and Tour Details
Bill Kenwright Ltd has unveiled the ensemble for its upcoming tour of “Blood Brothers” in autumn 2024. The acclaimed musical, renowned for its poignant tale of separated twins, will feature a stellar cast.
Cast Announcement
Returning to lead roles are Vivienne Carlyle as Mrs Johnstone, Sean Jones and Joe Sleight as twins Mickey and Eddie, and Gemma Brodrick as Linda. Also reprising their roles are Sarah Jane Buckley (Mrs Lyons), Scott Anson (Narrator), Tim Churchill (Mr Lyons), Chloe Pole (Donna Marie), Alex Harland (Policeman/Teacher), Graeme Kinniburgh (Postman/Bus Conductor), and Jess Smith (Brenda).
Joining the production are James Ledsham (Sammy), Ben Mabberley (Perkins), and Dominic Gore (Neighbour).
Synopsis and Musical Highlights
“Blood Brothers” follows the poignant journey of twins separated at birth, who reconnect later in life with tragic consequences. The musical showcases beloved songs such as “A Bright New Day,” ”Marilyn Monroe,” and “Tell Me It’s Not True”.
Creative Team
Directed by Bob Tomson with Tim Churchill as resident director, the production features musical supervision by Matt Malone, sound design by Dan Samson, and set/costume design by Andy Walmsley. Lighting design is by Nick Richings.
Tour Schedule
The UK tour will commence in Cardiff on August 20 and travel across various cities including Rhyl, Blackpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, and Leeds, concluding on December 7.
